About this path

The southern end of the Taff Trail threads through Bute Park along the Taff's east bank past Blackweir, opposite the Pontcanna Fields floodplain. The trail and parkland flood whenever the Taff runs very high — in January 2023, and in Storm Bert in November 2024, when the council advised avoiding the trail and the park closed for clean-up.
